Musical Theatre Performance Camp

1-Week Show Camps!

Students rehearse and perform the selected musical show - learning the songs, staging, choreography and present a fully produced/costumed performance to family and friends in the Conservatory Theatre on their final day.  Camp classes are grouped appropriately by age to help ensure active participation, confidence building and skill learning so that each child will have an enjoyable performance experience.

Musical Theatre Classes

If your child loves to sing, dance and act, they will love this musical theatre performance class. Students in age appropriate group classes work on scenes, songs and dances as they are introduced to vocal, acting and dance skills. The students will select, rehearse and present a costumed musical to invited guests in the Conservatory Theatre at the end of the session. These unique programs were created and developed by Melody over 25 years of professional  teaching.   All Classes are 1 hour unless noted. This semester on Saturdays we are adding an Extended Musical Performance class for middle school age students.

Melody's Pre-School Fairy Tale Theatre

This unique class and introduction to performing arts was created and developed by Melody.  A delightful class for the very young in creative storytelling, acting, dancing and singing. Each week a different story is explored using costumes and props and have a performance.  Program taught by Melody.

Theatre Dance - Jazz, Tap, Ballet Classes

For Elementary, Middle School and High School students. Learn the core skills needed for theatre dance. Technique and dance vocabulary stressed.  End of semester presentation  for invited audience in Conservatory Theatre. All classes 1 hour unless noted.

Performing Arts Acting Class

Acting Classes

Theatre Games, Scene Study, Monologues and Improv are all part of the skills that create a basis for the art of acting. Come and play.  Presentation performance with invited audience at end of semester in Conservatory Theatre. Taught by Broadway actor Christopher Myers or Emmy Award winning actress Anna Holbrook.

College Audition/Video Package:
includes: Professional coaching, help in monologue and song selection and video taping for submission to colleges.

This is a series of private coaching sessions to prepare student for college theatre and or music theatre auditions. Students are helped with monologues, songs and dance for subumission to the Arts Supplement of the common application. The coaching includes helping select and preparing two contrasting monologues, two contrasting song cuts and dance technique. Video taping is available for all segments including an accompanist for the song cuts.
