Emilie Roberts Hannon

 

In addition to her academic training at Carnegie Mellon University and The Julliard School (BM Degree), Emilie studied with renowned opera singers Eleanor Steber, Rose Bampton, and Brenda Lewis, as well as with theatrical giant Robert Lewis. She is a professor at the University of Bridgeport, teaching private voice and Acting for Singers.

Emilie has premiered leading roles in five original musicals and several plays produced Off-Broadway. She has performed leading roles in professional regional theatrical and operatic productions, from Laurie in Oklahoma! to the Queen of the Night, and supporting roles from Deathtrap to The Sound of Music, including 8(!) shows at Summer Theatre of New Canaan.

Emilie's professional choral experience includes singing in concert with the Camarata Singers and Leonard Bernstein, and performing extensively domestically and internationally with the professional choir of Trinity Church, Wall Street. Professor Hannon's professional choral work can be heard on Columbia and Naxos Records. She is a member and past president of the Theatre Artist's Workshop.
