Artistic Tudor: Voice, Musical Theatre, Piano
Matthew Johnson has performed with regional theatres across Connecticut, including these recent productions: James and the Giant Peach (Ladahlord) and West Side Story (Glad Hand) with Summer Theatre of New Canaan, Radium Girls (Tom/Berry/Reporter) and The Tempest (Trinculo) with Shakesperience Productions, and Romeo and Juliet: in Verse and Song (Tybalt) with Opera Theatre of Connecticut. He has also served as a music director for the Conservatory, STONC, and Music Theatre of Connecticut.
Dedicated to vocal health and science, Matthew received voice teacher training from many highly regarded teachers across the country including: Justin Stoney of New York Vocal Coaching, Mary Ann Kehler, John Henny, and voice rehab specialist Teri Stock. His students have appeared in featured roles with professional, educational, and community theatres, and have received recognition in music festivals and competitions across the state.
Dedicated to the abilities and goals of each individual student, Matthew utilizes his training in singing, acting, dancing, music directing, Shakespeare, and speech language pathology to provide a unique learning environment that students are sure to enjoy.
