Artistic Tutor: Acting.

Anna HolbrookAnna HolbrookAnna studied acting in New York City with Wynn Handman of the American Place Theatre and renowned acting coach Michael Howard. Her acting career included working with Frances Sternhagen, and creating roles in a number of original pieces; on film with Nick Nolte in "I Love Trouble"; on television in numerous guest appearances on "Law and Order", "Law and Order: SVU", guest work on "Spin City" and "The West Wing". She received an Emmy award for her role of Sharlene Frame on the long running soap Another World. Since moving and raising her family in Connecticut, she has continued working in TV commercials, recording voice-overs (for Disney's Princess Collection) and additional roles on "Law and Order: SVU".

Anna has run the pre-college theatre intensive program for the past two summers for the Summer Theatre of New Canaan bringing in talented Broadway Artists to teach workshiops and hold master classes. Anna also was featured in the Summer Theatre of New Canaan's  "MY FAIR LADY" receiving critical acclaim. Anna enjoys working with children and enjoys teaching acting at the Performing Arts Conservatory. Believing in helping each young person understand that they are unique and interesting all on their own, Anna remarks, "sometimes you just need to find out how to "tap" that inner resource! Acting is a wonderful way to explore our many possibilities." Anna has lived with her husband and two children in New Canaan since 1993.
